Reminiscing is how we keep our past alive. There are lots of happy thoughts and friendly moments that are worth remembering. We cannot just leave the past behind. The trail of life may have been designed forwards, but the chance of reversing the clutch is constantly possible. Not because we recall the past, we want to live with it. Sometimes, going back brings a sudden relief, an emotional freedom, and life’s realization.
“Remembering” is not all about bringing back the pain. It could be the positive side of the penny. We can always fly with happy thoughts as that of Peter Pan and Wendy. It’s the attitude of how we want to remember things. We can sit back, relax, close our eyes, and smile. We can swing under the blossoming tree and push as hard as we could and shout at a maximum volume. We can lie down in soft mattress facing the white ceiling. We can ask the Ferris wheel operator to stop while we are on top of it to see the beautiful view of the lighted city. We can stand on the side of the railings while the yacht is moving towards that majestic island and embrace the fresh air… We can always make things easier. We can always make our feelings lighter. Remember it only takes seventeen muscles to smile and a positive attitude to live a life worthwhile.
A healthy heart evokes happy moments.
